Test Alert 3

This bright red label appears in the top-right corner of the alert card. It tells you that the emergency is currently ongoing, and you should follow the safety instructions right now.

ALERT HAS ENDED

This green label replaces the red emergency badge once town officials declare the situation safe. It lets you know that the immediate threat has ended.

ACTIVE Badges in the Recent Alerts List

In the "Recent Alerts" list on the right side of the screen, you will see this small red ACTIVE label next to any alert that is currently ongoing. This helps you quickly spot which incidents are still active as you look down the list.

If the header reads 'Official Emergency Alert' with an 'ACTIVE EMERGENCY' badge, the threat is currently active. The broadcast icon and text below the title are colored red to warn you of a critical safety issue. Please take immediate necessary precautions.

Example B: Emergency Alert (Ended)

If the header reads 'Official Emergency Alert', but the threat is resolved, a green 'ALERT HAS ENDED' badge appears on the right. The text below the title remains colored red for historical clarity of the hazard.

If the header reads 'Public Notice', it is a non-emergency public notification. The broadcast icon and text below the title are colored green. This is used for routine updates like road work or meetings, and you do not need to take safety precautions.

Step 1: Click "Manage My Alerts"

Click the blue button labeled "Manage My Alerts" at the top right of your screen (or under the map on mobile phones). This will display a box that you type your registered phone number into.

Depending on the town's status, click the blue button on the far right of either the red or green top bar:

EMERGENCY ACTIVE

ALL CLEAR

Step 2: Request Your Code

Type in your 10-digit registered phone number (for example: (709) 123-4567) and click the blue "Send Code" button.

Manage My Alerts

Enter your registered phone number to receive a verification code.

Step 3: Retrieve Your Code

We will instantly send a standard text message (SMS) containing a unique 6-digit security code directly to your phone (for example: 402851).

Incoming Message

Intel-Alert: To access your alert settings for Town of North River, enter this code:

Open the text message on your phone to retrieve your unique code.

Step 4: Verify & Log In

Type those 6 numbers into the box on your screen and click "Verify & Login". If the code is wrong, the box turns red and you can try again. If you continue to receive this error, your number might not be registered—please register first at our Signup Page.

Step 5: Change Your Preferences
